In the framework of the next Eu-SPRI 2022 entitled Challenging Science and Innovation Policy which will take place in presence in Utrecht, 1-3 June 2022 hosted by Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, RISIS project organizes a session on 2 June (h. 3.00-4.15) dedicated to the valuable research projects developed using RISIS Datasets.
The panel session entitled RISIS Users, a journey through Datasets Families has the aim to focus on the most valuable research projects conducted by young researchers (Francesco Cappellano, Pierluigi Toma and Denisa Naidin), enlightening how RISIS resources contributed to deepen and overcome particular issues.
The session will be moderated by Thomas Scherngell, senior scientist and head of the research group Innovation Dynamics & Modelling at the Center for Innovation Systems & Policy of the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. Emanuela Reale social scientist, Director of IRCRES – the Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth at National Research Council CNR and Ed Noyons, senior researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University will participate as discussants.
The aim of the project is to develop an effective and continuous process of interaction between Science, Technology and Innovation scholars, scholars from neighbouring fields and stakeholders, in order to raise the awareness of RISIS data a key element of evidence-based policy making for research and innovation.
RISIS gives access to 15 Datasets for studying Science and Innovation, plus two Registers on Universities, research organizations and firms, which provide information on three key dimensions: actors, geography and themes.
The Consortium represented by the most innovative Universities and Research Centers wants to promote the interdisciplinary approach of RISIS datasets families, which belong to: firm innovation capacities, public research developments, R&I outputs and projects, and policy learning.
