RISIS project will be illustrated in a digital promo stand at ICRI 2022 that will take place in Brno (Czech Republic) from 19th to 21st October 2022.
The ICRI 2022 will bring together high-level politicians and research infrastructure representatives from all over the world to debate emerging research infrastructures and their role to face societal challenges. Among the 100 speakers, EMBL Director-General Edith Heard will join on the first day of the conference Plenary2: Research Infrastructures Addressing Grand Societal Challenges on COVID-19 and pandemics of infectious diseases. She will be joined in this session by Franciska de Jong, Executive Director of CLARIN ERIC, Ruxandra Draghia-Akli of Janssen Pharmaceuticals, and Pierre Delsaux, who heads the European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority established last year to prevent, detect, and rapidly respond to health emergencies. For the Plenary Environment, climate change, and mitigation, Mary-Jane Bopape, the managing director of the South African Environmental Observation Network will give her valuable contribution.
Every two years since 2012, ICRI has hosted about 500 delegates, who discuss topics concerning research infrastructures on the international level. The event is organized jointly by the European Commission and the host country. The last edition in Canada was organized online because of the pandemic emergency
ICRI 2022 will be a hybrid event, and the virtual channel will allow unlimited participation online. All sessions will be live streamed; online participants will be able to ask questions in real-time, and networking with other ICRI participants. The RISIS promo stand will be open from 19 to 22 October to all the participants who want to know more about the activities related the access to the RISIS Datasets, initiatives, events, research seminars, policymakers’ sessions, and training courses of the H2020 project.
